Ted is a top listing and selling real estate agent in Greater Northwest Houston. He is a licensed Broker and a past co-owner of his Keller Williams Realty office, located just south of FM1960W on Falling Creek in Northwest Houston. Ted has been actively involved in real estate activities in Louisiana, Colorado and Texas for decades. He has vast experience in land development, remodeling, custom residential design and construction, commercial design and construction and, in 1987, became a licensed real estate Salesman and real estate Broker shortly thereafter. From 1993 to 1995, Ted was President and Regional Director for Keller Williams of South Florida, Inc., after which time he returned to Houston.

Having had over $100 million in residential sales, Ted has a superior working knowledge of the real estate industry. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of Texas and Louisiana for many years. Sharing this knowledge, Ted periodically instructs Realtors in residential construction and is a Super Star Lecturer.

Ted's Keller Williams Realty office is conveniently located along the NW Houston main corridor called FM1960W (Farm Road 1960 West). This was a two-lane road as recently as 1975 which has since become a major seven-lane corridor! Ted has a full-time Administrative Assistant, Jean Zinser, who joined him in 2006. Jean handles advertising, market analyses, scheduling of property showings and file maintenance from property listing and contract to sale closing. Jean is thorough and personable, having developed these skills during nearly 20 years with the Humble School District as a Kingwood Middle School principal's secretary. Customers enjoy working with her and are intrigued by her nurturing personality!
Jean moved into Kingwood, Texas, in 1975 where she taught pre-school at Kingwood Edu-Care with 3-year-olds for a period of 10 years. Jean began working off hours for Mike and Sherryl Rowland in the Rowland Center as a Receptionist. While there, in addition to her other varied duties, she created a pre-school camp, Kinder-Camp, which is still in operation. In 1987, she began working at Creekwood Middle School as an aide in the AB classroom, advanced to becoming Principal Secretary in 1991 and retired from the Humble ISD in 2005. After retirement, Jean worked in Inventory for Thomas Markle Jewelers, a great job for someone who enjoys fine jewelry! Since, she has had over two years' experience in real estate together with a variety of specialized real estate training in Ted's office!
Jean uses the capable assistance of Sue Hurd, Office Administrator, to keep office files, schedule the receptionist desk 7-days per week, schedule agents to answer customer inquiries, coordinate advertising and maintain company accounting and payroll.


At any particular time, there are between 60 and 100 licensed agents in Ted's office. If Ted cannot schedule meeting a customer, an agent appropriate for the customer's needs will be assigned immediately.
Seller Services
Ted's efforts are directed at listing and marketing custom homes. Homeowners not only contact Ted for help in determining the market value of their home, but for that all important help when challenging the tax appraisals! When homeowners consider selling their home, Ted will tour the home, determine it's marketable value, recommend economically appropriate cosmetic or maintenance updates, recommend professionals to assist the owner in preparing the home for marketing and will list the property for sale.
Ted's marketing tools include wide-angle color photography, color flyers and brochures, a classic yard sign, yard dispensers, the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), the INTERNET, spectacular all-encompassing on-line Virtual Tours, open houses, HOMES magazines, kiosks, newsletters and the Chamber of Commerce.
Buyer Services
Such broad marketing attracts buyers for Ted and Jean. Buyers are provided with complete relocation packages with complete information on the area, maps, demographics, qualification forms, closing cost estimates, color flyers of homes for sale and personalized service from Ted, Jean and the entire Keller Williams staff! Buyers are interviewed by Ted or Jean to determine their purchase comfort zone, preferred price range, family size, schooling needs, recreational and religious preferences and home features desired. From this, Ted or Jean will search the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and schedule a preliminary home tour for the buyer.
After preliminarily touring, buyers' comments and preferences are reviewed so that the home search is direct, concise and fruitful. Forms are provided to the buyer so that they can record their opinions of homes. These forms are compared with Ted's observations of buyer reactions to properties. From this the buyer will have a profitable home tour and will be able to choose their favorite home with little stress!
Buyers have the right to request tax information, data on comparable sales activity, information on home condition. Upon request, Ted will run a market analysis of any property and will provide a complete closing cost estimate and monthly payment schedule.
